Umbria is a region of Central Italy, bordered by Tuscany, the Marche and Lazio. This region is mostly hilly or mountainous.

Perugia

• Umbria Jazz, in the month of July: Festival of jazz music, ranging from traditional to modern, with concerts held in various points of the city from morning 'til after midnight.
• Eurochocolate, in the month of October: Exposition and tasting of gourmet chocolate produced by artisans from all over Italy.
• Fair of the Dead, beginning November 1st: Carnival and enormous open-air market, featuring products of every kind, from fashionable clothing to gourmet food.

Assisi

• Calendimaggio Spring Festival, the first week of May: Recreation of the medieval and renaissance periods, with costumed locals, contests between city factions, street performers, theater, and dining.
